MCM and the Sungjoo Foundation sponsored the 36th annual Global Summit of Women, a conference dedicated to women’s economic empowerment featuring leaders from the public, private and non-profit sectors. Taking place in Istanbul, Turkey this year’s conference was themed “Bridging East and West for Centuries”, where limited edition MCM conference shoppers were sold and MCM pouches were gifted with the Turkish Host Committee as well as the GSW International Planning Committee, of which the CVO has been an active member.

Sungjoo Group Employees Celebrate Sungjoo’s 20th Anniversary in Charity Activities

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, all employees of Sungjoo Group(Sungjoo Foundation) participated in charity programs with the Dail Community, a social welfare center, from November 1, 2010 through November 5, 2010. The employees took part in various charity activities, such as joining Bap-po, a charity organization under the Daily Community whose name literally means “scoop up rice” in Korean, to provide a free lunch to people in need, helping with the preparation work for opening “Dail Angel’s Hospital”, repapering the walls and donating goods and equipment to prepare for the cold weather for the seniors who live on their own in Dongdaemun-Gu. In addition, Sungjoo Group delivered monetary contributions and supplies for protecting against the cold to the Dail Community.

Global Women’s Leadership Program

Sungjoo Foundation’s Global Women’s Leadership Program offers philosophies and personal mentoring programs to selected 30 participants. Famous women leader were devoted their time and talents to young leaders. Leaders such as Chairperson Sung-Joo Kim, Kyung Sook Lee, Ae Ran Moon participated. 1st session was held in Nov., 2010 and plan to held another new session in March 5th. Sungjoo Foundation.
