2009년 3월 31일 청담동 MCM HAUS 에서 Grand Opening 행사가 진행 되었다.
한국 내 명품 브랜드들의 Flagship Store가 즐비한 청담 거리에 MCM HAUS라는 이름으로 MCM 의 Flagship Store가 오픈 하였으며, 건물 디자인은 영국 컨템플로리 아티스트 Richard Woods가 작업하여, 단순히 물건을 파는 매장이 아닌 문화의 장소로 이슈화 되어 매체의 뜨거운 관심을 받았다.
이 행사는 지난 4년간 독일 인수부터 Global Business를 시작한 후 독일, 영국, 미국, 이탈리아 등 해외에서 New European Luxury로서의 Positioning을 성공적으로 확립 시키면서, 한국 내 정,재계 주요 VIP는 물론 패션계 영향력 있는 인물들을 초청하여 MCM HAUS를 소개하는 자리가 되었으며, MCM 브랜드 이미지를 업그레이드 하는 GOLD LINE을 국내 처음으로 선보이는 의미 깊은 시간이 되었다.
MCM HAUS 오픈 행사에 Press, Celebrity, Buyer, Fashion People 등 약 300여명이 참석 하였으며, 세계적인 톱 모델 COCO ROCHA를 비롯하여, 김혜수, 이다해, 션, 정혜영 등 셀러브리티 들이 참석하여 MCM HAUS 오픈을 함께 축하해 주었다.
MCM HAUS had its grand opening event on March 31st, 2009.
MCM HAUS is located in the high-fashion district of Korea, Cheongdam-Dong, where all the prestigious luxury brand flagship stores stand. Designed by a London contemporary artist, Richard Woods, MCM HAUS has been receiving a lot of attention of being not just a boutique, but a cultural and an artistic space in the city.
The opening event reflected MCM’s success in positioning itself in the major luxury market as the New European Luxury Brand in the four years that Sungjoo Group took over and managed its global business. MCM HAUS opening was also an opportunity to introduce MCM HAUS to major press, VIP, economic leaders, celebrities, and influential fashion figures, and to present MCM’s GOLD LINE, which definitely upgraded MCM’s brand image.
Approximately 300 guests, including major press, celebrities, buyers, and fashion people such as world’s
top model, Coco Rocha, Hye-Soo Kim, Da-Hae Lee, Sean, and Hye-Young Lee, came to celebrate the opening of MCM HAUS.
